Movie Review: The Avengers – Not to be Missed

Marvel’s The Avengers is a culmination of five years of movie-making. It is a treat for the audience since it showcases five different superheroes in one movie. The Avengers by Marvel is like a dream come true for several fans who wanted to see all their superheroes together on the big screen

The movie revolves around Loki (Tom Hiddleston) who has come down to earth with the intention of conquering the entire human race. Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), who is the director of S.H.I.E.L.D, gathers the avengers to form the Avengers Initiative force to save the planet.

The Avengers is a movie filled with entertainment along with a brilliant superhero display and gives the audience larger than life moments. It can be a wonderful experience for the fans to see Thor and Hulk battle together along with the other superheroes.

Whedon, the director of Avengers, has portrayed his talent in depicting character interaction. He showcases the importance of team work skilfully. Tom Hiddleston as Loki is compelling as he was in Thor. The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) tickles the audience with his sense of humour and the one-liners in the movie are simply brilliant.

When it comes to the flaws in the movie, one can say that with multiple characters in the movie, it is inevitable that few characters do not get the importance that they deserve. In The Avengers, Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) has not been used effectively. The story on the whole is very fundamental. The plot is very predictable and the characters might be confusing for those who have not read the comics. However, The Avengers will definitely give its audience a fun filled time at the movies.

The Avengers scores a high 4.5 out of 5.
