Batman needs to be a deeply troubled individual with a profound and often extreme take on justice and how it should be dealt out. He’s a man that leads two lives, one in relative normality (for a billionaire) and another as a boarder-line psycho. This is what Christian Bale brought to the table in ‘American Psycho’ and it’s what Michael C. Hall brings in hit TV show ‘Dexter’.
His big screen credits are limited but his award-winning tenure as Dexter Morgan in the still-running crime drama proves his talent. He’s my pick of the bunch but I’m no casting director and there may well be someone I haven’t even thought of who would be perfect.
So go on then, prove me wrong, who do you want to be the next Dark Knight?
