Savvy Student Shoppers…

The best thing to do is have no shame. You are a student after all; People are doing worse. Last week I found my nails needed a pop of colour. As my friend looked at handbags in Topshop, I made my way to the beauty area, made myself comfy and painted my nails from the testers. I mean, don’t make it a daily ritual; they may twig on eventually to the fact you have tested them more than enough to know if they’re worth buying.

I’m sure this one is a trick of the trade, but I’ll say it anyway. When you’re off to a party, don’t buy alcohol. All you need to do, or maybe this is just me being such a lightweight, shot everyone else’s drink. Whether its wine, blue WKD or rum, knock it back! You’ll be gone in no time, and for free. And after making a cocktail in your tummy, you’re likely to be proper badgered. Again have no shame, and tell no one you’re stealing their drinks.

I’m not advising buying clothes and returning them after you’ve worn them. Apparently that happens quite regularly within student life but there are little ways to help you cut corners. Save a little bit here and there. Being a student is learning to manage your money, learning to curb what you spend. But if there are ways to lengthen your money, then why not do it? It’ll only give more reason to save up for that Mulberry bag you need for Uni; A valid reason in my eyes.
