Exclusive Made In Chelsea’s Rosie Fortescue Style Interview

With brand new Made In Chelsea just around the corner, Jessica Evans caught up with the Chelsea fashionista Rosie Fortescue on this seasons’ biggest S/S ’13 trends, creating her own high street collection and Mark Francis’ style!

Rosie Fortescue, one of the original cast members from our favorite reality show Made in Chelsea, caught our attention right from Season One with her English rose looks, impeccable style and forward thinking fashion, making her one of Chelsea’s It girls. The 23 year old said: “I have always been obsessed with fashion images and photography. Clothing shapes the final image so my love of fashion stemmed from there.” As big fans of Rosie’s street style on her blog we were interested to know what has been the major fashion icons and influences in her life. “I take inspiration from various sources but never idolise anyone as I like to dress to my mood and not anyone else’s! Miranda Kerr always looks effortlessly chic and Olivia Palermo inspires me to be more creative with print and colour.” Rosie, forever the socialite at parties, recently attended the Rihanna for River Island’s Launch party and revealed to us that she would love to collaborate with a high street store. “I shop a lot on the high street and I love mixing low and high-end fashion. In an ideal world I would like to create a whole collection form a bit of tailoring to jewellery to fedoras!”

With envious dewy skin Rosie kindly shared her beauty secrets with us. “(I swear by) Dr LeWinns new foundation, Nivea SOS lip balm and Optrex brightening eye drops.” Never one to be afraid to try out new trends we wanted to know what S/S ’13 clothing and beauty trends Rosie will be rocking this season. “I’m already a fan of monochrome and wear it a lot anyway, so I’m looking forward to playing around with flashes of colour and florals. I have recently started styling my hair in a more 60’s way which I love. I personally don’t have bushy eyebrows so the “Cara” trend doesn’t apply to me!”

Whilst MIC is famously known and loved for its ridiculously good style among its cast members, Rosie revealed to us exactly whose MIC cast member’s wardrobe she would steal for the day. “Mark Francis’ tailoring. Last series he wore the most stunning white Valentino shirt with a huge bow that was thoroughly starched and taped down. He just looked amazing.” Although the MIC star is fearless when it comes to fashion she said that her big fashion no no had to be crocs or uggs. Rosie said: “(My never fail outfit) is leather trousers, a silk shirt and a blazer.” Well Rosie, we salute your style and are very excited indeed to see more of it when MIC season 5 hits our television screens.
