Life’s a beach as women splash out to stay on trend

Women spend an average of £245 a year on their holiday shop according to new research.

Holiday season is here and there is more pressure to look hot and on trend, along with a glimpse of sun comes the ladies in full force rocking the latest looks, (although our summer has probably been and gone).

With retailers offering stunning beach wear at a great price it’s hard for women to limit themselves when it comes to the holiday shop.

Living by the rule that it’s better to have too much stuff than too little, baskets are crammed full of beachwear, sandals and maxi dresses, though most items don’t even make it out of the suitcase and return with the labels still on.

Wearing last year’s holiday clothes isn’t an option for most, adding to the expense – the holiday shop starts with a new bikini, but then they need sandals to match, a kaftan and a beach bag and sunnies.

So next time you book your summer holiday, you may get a right bargain but don’t forget to add holiday shop to the price. Spending less than £250 on a holiday shop, in fact, is a bit of a miracle.
