Things to do in Cardiff

Whether your interest is music, sport, theatre, history or architecture, there are a wide variety of attractions in Cardiff and its surrounding areas to help keep you entertained, during your stay.

Cardiff mixes a combination of both, modern and ancient buildings, ranging from its magnificent Edwardian civic houses, to the imposing Millennium Stadium, in order to create a distinctive and unique landscape.

Wales, and more specifically Cardiff, is renowned for its stunning castles. It is, therefore, not a surprise that dominating the list of town’s tourist spots is Cardiff Castle, a remarkable site, which is situated right at the heart of the city centre, with a history that spans over 2000 years.

In direct contrast to this attraction is the very current layout of Cardiff Bay, which is just a mile from the city centre. Visitors can enjoy a range of restaurants, bars and shops in Mermaid Quay, cruise or sail on the water, or explore attraction such as the impressive Wales Millennium Centre, Norwegian Church, new Doctor Who Experience, Red Dragon Centre, World of Boats or Techniquest – an interactive science discovery centre.
