Makeup on the go- what to keep in your bag!

After a night out in town, you may find yourself waking up late for work the very next day. So I thought I’d share my tips and advice and what I think you should carry around in your handbags so that you don’t find yourself running even more late by doing your makeup in the house on those busy mornings.

Always carry a moisturiser with you, and use it before you apply anything to your face. Keep a face powder with you, you never know Maybelline Fit Me powderwhen you will need it! Your foundation or powder can fade a bit throughout the day, so it’s good to keep a small compact powder with a mirror for those touch-ups. A makeup sponge will also be needed to apply the powder, but if you’re someone like me who doesn’t like using a makeup sponge, then get yourself a beauty blender, they work wonders! Damp the beauty blender with cold water then apply the powder to your face and you will realise your face doesn’t look as cakey as it would if you were to use a sponge. I like to use the Maybelline Fit Me powder as it leaves my face a natural finish.

If there’s one thing that makes the most impact with little effort, I would say it’s eyeliner, not everyone likes to carry around a mascara and clump up their lashes by reapplying the mascara. I like the L’oreal Paris super liner eyeliner, with it’s long lasting precise line, its good for those who don’t like the whole ‘heavy eyeliner look’, the only downside to this product is that I find its smudges very easily.

A cream blusher is always handy when you want a pop of colour on your cheeks, cream blusher Benefit Posietintlooks more natural than powder blushes and they can be applied on the apples of your cheeks using your fingers. I like Benefit Posietint for my cheeks, I think its a perfect pink that suits any skin tone. If your skin is oily, dust a little translucent powder on top to help it stay put and if you have dry skin then skip the powder for a more glowy hydrated look.

Last of all, carry a lipstain or a lip cream, they are both great beauty products to wear on your lips Revlon lipstainfor the summer. They last a long time and give you that natural look. I recommend the Revlon Color Stay lip balm stain as its comes in many colours and is very hydrating on the lips. My most favourite lip creams are the Collection puff lip cream in the colours cotton candy and fairy cake, you can build up the colour and coverage with more applications using this lip cream.
