You might think that Don Broco would have a hard job to follow the success of their debut album Priorities which saw them catapulted into the spotlight, becoming one of the hottest acts of 2013 with a sell out UK headline tour and slots at various big festivals this summer.
However, after the band’s newest single from their next album, You Wanna Know was debuted on Zane Lowe’s Radio One show on Thursday night it became obvious that to produce songs with just as much anthemic quality as that shown on Priorities in fact comes easy to the lads in Don Broco.
Whilst some may complain that the new single is perhaps towards the more poppy end of the spectrum, perhaps picking up where The Whole Truth left off on Priorities, the infectious bass lines and spectacular guitar riffs are still present and as impressive as ever. Singer Rob Damiani’s vocals are as smooth and enticing as they’ve ever been and if Priorities got the band noticed then surely this new album can only lead to even bigger and better things, as Don Broco have proven that they can effortlessly produce tune after tune, leaving old fans pleased with their consistency and surely gaining new ones due to how catchy their songs are.
You Wanna Know certainly shows a promising future for the lads in Don Broco and I have no doubt that their talents won’t be letting up any time soon.
