College Football Bowl Predicitons

Gildan New Mexico Bowl

  • Washington State vs. Colorado State

This game should start the bowl season off with a bang. Mike Leach and his air raid offense should come out on top over the Rams. 38-21 Washington State

Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl

  •  Fresno State vs.  USC

I don’t see USC having the same edge they had with Ed Orgeron as their interim coach. The USC defense will get shredded by Fresno QB Derek Carr. 31-17 Fresno State

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

  • Buffalo vs. San Diego State

Buffalo has the momentum coming into this game. The bulls are coming off a great regular season, while the Aztecs are coming off a disappointing season. 20-17 Buffalo

R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl

  • Tulane vs. Louisana Lafayette

Tulane has the homefield advantage here playing in New Orleans and their fans should travel well to the super dome and it could make it a hostile environment for the Raging Cajuns. 28-24 Tulane

Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Bowl

  • East Carolina vs. Ohio

East Carolina’s strong season this year is no fluke. They took Virgina Tech to the wire and with Ohio struggling as of late, this game could get out of hand. 31-13 East Carolina

Sheraton Hawaii bowl

  • Boise State vs. Oregon State

The former BCS buster Boise state lost their main piece of their historic BCS runs. With head coach Chris Peterson leaving I just can’t see this team playing inspired. 24-20 Oregon State

Little Caesars Bowl

  • Pittsburgh vs. Bowling Green

Another head coach is leaving and this time it’s Bowling Green’s Dave Clawson. Again I just can’t see a team losing their head coach playing inspired despite their recent upset of Northern Illinois. 21-17 Pittsburgh

S.D County Credit Poinsettia bowl

  • Utah State vs. Northern Illinois

This game shouldn’t be close. Heisman finalist Jordan Lynch is coming a historic season which could result in the Heisman trophy. Without Utah State’s Chuckie Keaton, I dont see them hanging around. 38-10 Northern Illinois

Military bowl

  • Marshall vs. Maryland

The Thundering Herd are coming off a C-USA championship loss so they should be hungry for a win. While the Terrapins are coming off a strong season they have momentum too. Close game 24-23 Maryland

Texas bowl

  • Syracuse vs. Minnesota

With Jerry Kill back on the sideline, I expect the Gophers to win this game big due to the up and down performance of Syracuse. 31-14 Minnesota

Fight Hunger bowl

  • BYU vs. Washington

With the loss of Steve Sarkisan, Washington should still be ok with a offense led Bishop Sankey who is arguably the best running back in the PAC-12. BYU is coming off a strong season under Bronco Mendenhall and should be able to keep up with the Huskies. 24-17 Washington

New Era Pinstripe bowl

  • Rutgers vs. Notre Dame

Notre Dame is coming a off a letdown season after a 12-1 season last year but they still have the advantage over a falling apart Rutgers team. This game will depend on Irish quarter back Tommy Rees who has been up and down all year. 27-13 Notre Dame

Belk bowl

  • Cincinnati vs. North Carolina

North Carolina is on fire after reeling off 5 wins before losing to Duke and perhaps saving Larry Fedora’s job. While Tommy Tubberville has done a great job with the Bearcats and has them going in the right direction. 28-27 North Carolina

Russell Athletic bowl

  • Miami vs. Louisville

The game of disappointments. Both teams were on the cusp of a BCS bowl until they hit road blocks. Miami lost their star back Duke Johnson while the Louisville defense has let their team down on occasions. Teddy Bridgewater will be the X-factor. 38-21 Louisville

Buffalo Wild Wings bowl

  • Michigan vs. Kansas State

Both teams are heading in opposite directions and it doesn’t look good for Michigan. But if Devin Gardner plays up to potential this game SHOULD be a blow out. I think he will and Michigan wins big. 42-24 Michigan

Bell Helicopter Armed Forces bowl

  • Middle Tennessee State vs. Navy

Keenan Reynolds of Navy is arguably the best option running quarter back in Navy history setting NCAA records left and right for the Naval Academy. That triple option is hard to stop and Navy could run away with this one. 52-20 Navy

Franklin American Mortgage Music City bowl

  • Ole Miss vs. Georgia Tech

Former Navy head coach Paul Johnson leads the yellow jackets option attack against a young Ole Miss defense that needs to be ready to play. Ole Miss is too talented but their youth could show against a veteran yellow jacket squad. 27-21 Georgia Tech

Valero Alamo bowl

  • Oregon vs. Texas

The high flying ducks take on a Texas squad that will be without Mack Brown this season. This Texas team should be blown away by Oregon but I have a feeling this Texas team will play valiantly in Brown’s last game. 37-34 Texas

National University Holiday bowl

  • Arizona State vs. Texas Tech

The sun devils will have too much fire power for the red raiders who have lost 5 straight games under 1st year coach Kliff Kingsbury. ASU wins big due to Texas Techs poor defensive play this year. 56-30 Arizona State

Advo Care V100 bowl

  • Arizona vs. Boston College

With two of the game’s best running backs, this should be a rush defense massacre. Ka’Deem Carey of Arizona is arguably one of the best backs in football. While Andre Williams from Boston College is the best power back of football right now. 31-28 Arizona

Hyundai Sun bowl

  • Virginia Tech vs. UCLA

Virginia Tech is one of the most disappointing teams of 2013. A embarrassing loss in the opener set the tone for their season. While UCLA is again a middle to top team in the PAC-12 waiting for their jump up. Brett Hundley should have a great game, his mind might be on the next level.  24-16 UCLA

AutoZone Liberty bowl

  • Rice vs. Mississippi State

With Mississippi State barely qualifying for a bowl they get to play a lesser known opponent in Rice. Rice is coming off a C-USA championship win and should come out on top. But they need to watch out for The bulldogs spread system. 35-32 Rice

Chick-fil-A bowl

  • Duke vs. Texas A&M

Duke has been one of the best stories in the football, becoming a bottom dweller to a pesky opponent. While Johnny Manziel is attempting to go out in style with his final collegiate game. I hope Duke can stay in this one but I don’t see it happening. 38-17 Texas A&M

Gator bowl

  • Nebraska vs. Georgia

Neither of these teams expected to playing in this bowl but injuries and bad overall play can happen in a season. Georgia led by back up Huston Mason and Todd Gurley III should be able to handle this Cornhusker team. 28-20 Georgia

Heart of Dallas bowl

  • UNLV vs. North Texas

With the surprise of UNLV I expect them to play with confidence in this game. While the Mean Green are coming off a bad loss and I don’t know if they’ll be as confident. 27-10 UNLV

Capital One bowl

  • Wisconsin vs. South Carolina

The Badgers are led by Melvin Gordan who should’ve been a Heisman invitee. Connor Shaw should play well and should Jadveon Clowney in his final game. 21-17 South Carolina

Outback bowl

  • Iowa vs. LSU

Les Miles should have LSU ready to dominate the Hawkeyes. Without Zach Mettenburger LSU SHOULD be fine if not they could be in some trouble. Iowa will compete. 34-21 LSU

Rose bowl

  • Stanford vs. Michigan State

An old fashion slug fest. These two teams should fight it out like heavy weight prize fighters. Defense will be the key here. It will be low scoring but Stanford has a better offense. 17-13 Stanford

Fiesta bowl

  • UCF vs. Baylor

The bears are in their first ever BCS bowl and are in for a tough match up in Blake Bortles and the Knights. It should be a shootout in the desert. 45-42 Baylor

Sugar bowl

  • Oklahoma vs. Alabama

The defending champions are trying to be motivated to play Oklahoma. Oklahoma is trying to keep this game close and not get blown out. But this game will be a blow out. 45-17 Alabama

Orange bowl

  • Clemson vs. Ohio State

Another team trying to be motivated in Ohio State should be fine. Clemson should be able to score and so should Ohio State. It will be a high scoring affair. 38-34 Clemson

Cotton bowl

  • Oklahoma State vs. Missouri

Missouri should be able to move the ball against the Cowboys. The Cowboys are in for their toughest test against a defense. 26-20 Missouri

BCS National Championship Game

  • Florida State vs. Auburn

Tre Mason and the tigers will lead their rush attack against the best team in the nation. If Auburn wants to win then they need to keep pace with Jameis Winston. If Auburn does this they will win. They are the team of destiny. 52-49 Auburn
