Getting your motivation back!

Staying motivated and keeping on track can be very difficult sometimes as life isn’t always easy. Once we have been rejected or something hasn’t gone our way, we instantly feel deflated. Feeling like you want to give up is natural, trust me, we’ve all been there but it isn’t the answer. If you are stressed about university or just life in general then sometimes a change of scenery can help. Stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new can give you the inspiration you need. New ideas are everywhere, you just need to look hard enough.

You need to work out what it is that is causing you to feel like this and then go from there. Make a list of all the things that you would like to get done and gradually start ticking them off. Even if it’s only cleaning your messy room that you’ve been putting off for weeks, once you have completed the task you will start to feel better as it’s one less thing for you to worry about.

Positive thinking is also one of the best things you can do in this situation, negativity will only bring you down and make you feel even worse about the situation. Having a positive attitude when times get hard isn’t easy and it will be hard until you find something to focus on, but once you get there it will all be worth it.

Don’t give up on yourself! If you don’t believe in yourself how can you expect anyone else too? Keep trying and eventually things will start to look up. You are the only person who can truly help yourself in this situation. Taking every opportunity that comes your way is a good place to start. Nothing is going to come to you unless you go out there and look for it. Put yourself out there and watch what happens. Even if you don’t feel like it at the time, something good is bound to come out of it which will have you looking up in no time.

Once you start getting things done you will instantly start to feel better which will encourage you to carry on that way.
