Why attending a music festival is a summer must-do!

Now a veteran in organising festivals, John remembers his first festival experience: ‘It was mind-blowing – there were 600,000 people when I walked over a hill!’

For those of you who have experienced the buzz of being at the heart of a music festival, then you’ll all know that it is something that has to be done at least once in your lifetime.

However, if you have been there and done that too many times already, then why not experience a festival abroad? The change of culture mixed with new genres of music and different traditions is a definite way to liven up your festival repertoire, recreating that first unforgettable adrenaline kick.

With UK festival ticket prices gradually becoming more expensive, it seems that festivals abroad are becoming much more appealing, as well as working out a lot cheaper!

The Desert Rock Festival in Dubai is another reason to consider a festival abroad. With its calm and relaxed atmosphere, you are surrounded by nothing but the desert and cool music. The vibe is totally unique; you get to experience freedom to the max with not a building in site and only the desert for company. This works if you aren’t one for the closed in feel of UK festivals.

Ibiza is very popular for those of you that love your chart and dance music; so if you fancy combining a massive line up of your favourite artists, whilst sunning yourself on the beach rather than slumming it up in a field, then Ibiza Rocks is for you. With events going on all summer, you’re sure to find a spare weekend to put your plan into action.

Whatever your taste in music or your preference of location, there is a festival out there that is perfect for you.

Yes, you would be right to expect horribly dirty toilets, a few rubbish nights of sleep and a ridiculous hangover the morning after. But is that not worth an experience that can only be gained by being there? The perfect way to sum up a music festival experience is ‘know what to expect and you won’t be disappointed!’
