The Need for Tweed

Vintage clothing has become extremely popular recently and many people are turning to trends from yester year in their quest for ‘originality’. And due to this new popularity of vintage style clothing, how individual or ‘original’ is it now?

None of the less, when it’s done properly, it’s a great look and one to get involved in. The tweed jacket is a fantastic example of ‘originality’ and is versatile in it’s own right.

Vintage tweed jackets can range from as little as £15, which just goes to show that finding this look can be really in expensive. Tweed shooting or hacking jackets can be worn both smart and casual in a number of ways. You can get that vintage/contemporary look by wearing a tweed jacket with a t-shirt and skinny jeans along with either trainers or boat shoes. This is a great way to wear tweed during the day. But at night, why not try a tweed jacket with either a polo shirt or a smarter shirt with chinos and brogues. As brogues themselves are also extremely popular and can help to give your wardrobe that vintage look.

The tweed jacket is a great alternative to the blazer and like the blazer can be worn in many different ways. Browns and the classic barva are traditional coloured tweed jackets that can be worn with more contemporary fashions to give a unique ‘original’ look that can be smart/casual and above all, on trend.
