Molton Brown Nottingham Haircare launch

Molton Brown have come a long way since their launch in a make shift lab producing hand blended products above a hair salon in Molton Street in London’s Mayfair to become one of the ‘must-have’ toiletries of any stylish modern home.  You can now experience their products in more than 70 countries world-wide in their own popular outlets, spas and online so when I was invited to the launch of their new and improved  haircare collection at their trendy Nottingham outlet I didn’t take much persuading. Along with the lure of a free hair consultation, refreshments and a goody bag I decided to let down my too long neglected hair and help them celebrate.

On entering we were welcomed with cupcakes and a choice of bubbly or cranberry lemonade to welcome us and help us unwind before our senses were treated to sampling some of the fantastic products in store which includes their range of bath and shower gels, body lotions, hand washes, skin care, fragrances and even exquisite smelling scented candles but the evening was about our crowning glory and the friendly staff were on hand to not only provide us with our goody bags which contained a beautiful range of miniature products but also individually advise on which of the new gorgeous range of  targeted products was best suited to us.

The range includes repairing ‘Papyrus Reed’ for dry damaged  hair, volumising ‘Indian Mulberry’ for fine hair and nurturing ‘Cloudberry’ for colour treated hair. Now I don’t know about you but any one of those could describe my abused locks on any given day of the week, at times my hair is so dry I could be stuck in a field to scare away birds but, as it wasn’t practical to wash your hair with each product there and then (although they do have some stunning contemporary sinks fitted in store to sample the hand wash) we were generously given samples of each to try at home, and, having tried one tonight I can confirm that not only do the vibrant colours look stunning in your bathroom but they also leave your hair smelling fabulous too and there’s more good news. Firstly not only do Molton Brown source all their ingredients from sustainable sources but they also never have, and claim never will, test the products on animals so you can feel good about using it too. Now all that remains is to work out which of the lovely products picked suits me best which leads me nicely to the second piece of good news, Molton Brown are offering free conditioner to customers who present a voucher with any shampoo purchased until 30th August from the new collection so you could even spoil yourself and have two and really make bad hair days a thing of the past.
