My issues with UberFacts

“If you write out any number in English, write out the number of letters in THAT number (etc…), you will always end with the number “four.”
This is wrong as it does not work for every number. An example of it working is the number 7.
Seven has five letters and five has four letters. An example of it not working is the number 1. One has three letters and three has five letters.

“In Bali, twins would often marry each other – It was assumed they had sex as fetuses.”
Who assumed this!? Come on people.

“On average, 12 newborn babies are given to the wrong parents every day.”
I’m glad people know this and it still happens.

This is when I really have issues with UberFacts. It tweeted “The typical person spends about 600 hours having sex between the ages of 20 and 70”. Several days prior to this it tweeted “Humans, on average, spend 2 years of their life making love”. That doesn’t correlate. I’m no good at math, nor do I like math (if you can find a Journalist that is good at or likes Math I will be amazed) but I have given it a go here. If you do in fact spend 2 years having sex that is 17520 hours. So unless you are having sex from birth to 20 or when you are 70 or above for the other 16920 hours, UberFacts is WRONG somewhere along the line.

Despite all of this I still follow them. There are too many comical opportunities on there for me to stop.
