Peplum
Love it or hate, peplum is not leaving us anytime soon. As Vogue’s Lucy Hutchings said this time last year, there’s no better way to dress your midriff than with a peplum. The style is unique, designed to add some flair to your outfit whether it be a blouse and skirt outfit or your adored LBD. So, what are you waiting for? Go grab something peplum!
Leather
For some time last year Irina Shayk, Miranda Kerr, Abbey Clancy and Kim Kardashian could not be seen without their favourite black leather leggings. The great thing about black leather leggings is that they are simple, yet extremely sexy and classy when teamed with the right heels and blouse/blazer. This season, leather is back and more popular than ever. Not only do they come in leggings, but skirts and hot pants too. However, I find that leather is sometimes hard to pull off, so choose wisely!
Graphic prints and strong/electric colours
Last weekend whilst shopping I went to H&M, Forever 21 and Zara. I discovered that they were bursting with colour, it almost made me feel like it was summer, until I looked outside and realised it was rainy old London again. Bold monochrome stripes and squares stood out in the Spring/Summer 2013 collections of various designers such as Marc Jacobs and Emporio Armani. Electric blue, orange, green and so on appear to be the trend of the season. I love this trend because you can easily brighten up your outfit with an electric coloured handbag or a 60’s style blazer. The 60’s theme was evident in Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection too, a collection that was definitely one of a kind.
