Ding Dong the Witch is Dead reaches number 2 in the charts

I’m sure its not news that the death of Maggie Thatcher milk snatcher, has bought an unlikely song to number 2 in the charts. The song the witch is dead- a favourite from the Wizard of Oz, is right up there, behind Duke Dumont- who is surprisingly not a late politician.

This new addition to the charts has received a negative reception by many, who branded it as disrespectful, and actively besmirching the name of Margaret Thatcher, in only 51 seconds.

My opinion- I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at the rapid assent of this tune- unashamedly hating Margaret Thatcher, and disrespecting all who loved and admired her. Describing the late 87 year old as a witch, is a representation of her popularity as a prime minister, how her favouritism of the upper classes ended in her death being celebrated through the form of a comical musical song.

Perhaps it could be put down as British humour, controversial and often inappropriate. Or another open and shameless form of hatred for Bareness Thatcher by the British public. Regardless, this song is still the second most popular tune in Britain. However I am sure One Direction, or another fine example of annoying current pop music will soon replace it.
