Luxury Travel Inspiration

Everyone dreams of going on a luxurious trip abroad, and there are many places to choose from, believe it or not. While the following destinations might put a strain on every budget, they are certainly exciting choices. Using a website such as TravelBag makes it easy to plan your luxury travel trip. But while you’re still planning (or dreaming) here’s some inspiration to help you create the perfect trip.

Tunisia

Luxury trips to Tunisia always include sunbathing, dining in five-star indoor and outdoor restaurants, and also staying in lavish hotels such as “The Residence” (which has six restaurants to pick from, so you will definitely never go hungry). After enjoying the hotel’s amenities (you will always find spas and swimming pools in such accommodations), you should definitely not hesitate to venture out and play golf. Golf de Carthage, for example, is one of the oldest golf courses in Africa, but if you prefer something more adventurous, Tunisia’s first desert course has recently been opened at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Also, no trip to Tunisia is ever complete without going camel riding, so make sure you save enough time for that as well if golf doesn’t appeal to you.

Taveuni Island, Fiji

Fiji is always near the top of the list when it comes to luxury travelling. The Taveuni Island Resort, for example, which is named after the island it stands on, is a modern collection of bungalows with views of the Pacific Ocean and infinity pools. Snorkelling and diving are always popular activities among tourists, as well as the kayaks provided by staff members to explore the islands nearby uninterrupted. Taveuni is also a great place to start from if you want to go island hopping and check out the deserted islands nearby. Finally, no visit to Taveuni Island is ever complete without the popular Lavena and Bouma waterfall trip, which is also known as the location where the movie “Blue Lagoon” was filmed.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

How can someone mention luxury trips without including Dubai? Located on the coast of the Persian Gulf, this city is known around the world for its five-star amenities. The majority of tourists come to Dubai to go shopping, which is why there are so many malls available. The Dubai Mall, for instance, has its own indoor theme park (Sega World), a separate park for children (Kidzania), an aquarium, a zoo, an ice rink, and of course many expensive stores and restaurants. Dubai also boasts with having the first ski resort in the Middle East, which is conveniently located in the Mall of the Emirates. Visitors also stop to see the tallest man-made building in the world (Burj Khalifa), before checking in at five star hotels and resorts like Burj al Arab and the Atlantis resort. Finally, a visit to the water park aptly named Aquaventure completes everyone’s luxurious stay, especially due to the famous “Leap of Faith” slide and the man-made beach.

Tahiti, French Polynesia

Most of the people who travel to French Polynesia go on their honeymoon, and it is easy to see why. This remote group of islands (with Tahiti being the biggest one) is located halfway between New Zealand and Peru, though it is not as difficult to reach by plane as some similar destinations around the world. Visitors prefer peace and quiet, which is definitely not hard to come by due to the exclusive beach resorts and bungalows scattered across the bigger islands. Besides diving and snorkelling, tourists also go island hopping from Tahiti, or head off to stay on smaller islands such as Moorea or Bora Bora. Adventurous travellers prefer visiting The Marquesas (a group of islands which were once populated by warrior tribes) and Rangiroa (one of the largest atolls in the world and home to the widest range of coloured peals in the world). Alternatively, some tourists visit most of the islands in French Polynesia aboard the Paul Gauguin luxury cruise ship.

Whether you’re thinking of planning a romantic getaway, or a simple trip to relax, luxury travel destinations are definitely worth thinking about. Not only will you get the chance to visit a variety of unique places, but you will also do that without struggling to put together a daily schedule while enjoying some of the finest food, scenery and accommodation the world has to offer.
