Tips for shopping online

Everyone loves to shop, everyone loves to buy clothes – we can all admit to the odd online shopping spree spending a little too much then we had originally intended.

We have put together our top 5 tips for shopping online to ensure your safety, and perhaps give you some tips on getting a couple bargains, too.

Ok, so here we go – tips for shopping online:

1 – Stay away from website that look… dodgy

Ok, so you find yourself on a website with a few deals that seem too good to be true – are they too good? Plenty of people have been scammed from websites that have turned out to be fake websites that aren’t legitimate. A few things to take into consider include: a poor design, a strange web address, or look out for pop-up windows. These are all signs of a scam website. If you notice any of these when shopping online, we suggest that you close your browser and look elsewhere.

2 – Always be on the lookout for great bargains

We all love a bargain, don’t we? Before proceeding to click on the purchase button – are you sure there isn’t something else out there available at a fraction of the price? Some websites offer great bargains on top-notch quality clothes and fashion labels, wouldn’t you love discounts on your next purchase? It can be easily attained, as long as you are looking in the right places.

3 – Be careful with what information you give away

If you are not comfortable with some of the information that the website is asking for – don’t give it out. Remember, you are always in control of your online purchases; the information you decide to give out is up to you. Be careful with scam website asking for false information.

4 – Don’t buy on impulse

Now this is surely something we have ALL done before… you see something you like, click on the purchase button… and before you know it, a parcel has arrived in the post, you open it, and voila – you end up hating the purchase and have wasted time and money in buying something you will never wear. Be careful with what you buy, impulse buys can easily stack up and end up costing a hell of a lot of money.

5 – Make sure the website has a return policy

Perhaps some advice for the impulse buyers out there – before buying, check the website FAQ, see if they accept returns and if not – stay away. Most websites should accept returns and should offer a full refund for products not wanted or products that are the wrong size and whatnot.
