Undiscovered Talent: Niall Sexton

Niall Sexton is probably a name very few of you are familiar with. But, hopefully you’ll be hearing a lot more of him in the future.Niall Sexton

Niall Sexton is a 19 year old singer, originally from Northern Ireland.
Let’s take a moment to go back to 2011. Niall entered The X Factor and made it to the final 12 Boys. The show built up a lot of support for him; even getting him many fan pages on Twitter. Despite being successful in all the previous rounds, the only time he was shown on TV was when he was told he wasn’t going onto the next stage; Judges Houses.

Changing to something more low-key, Niall won a local competition ‘Search 4 a Star’ in 2012. Winning €1000 and a Summer Cabaret Spot; going down a storm every week with the crowd. Finishing his Cabaret spot, he moved to Liverpool for University.

In Liverpool, a chance of a life time came up with Radio City’s Big Gig. All the money raised voting for the competition went to the Cash for Kids Charity. The prize included Management, a photo shoot, tanning products, teeth whitening AND the ‘Big Gig’ to support NeYo and Tulisa at the Echo Arena in Liverpool. Niall made it to the final five in the competition, then went on to win the once in a lifetime prize. On the 8th of March last year he opened up NeYo’s Liverpool show and even got to meet the man himself.

Being able to follow the NeYo gig up has been difficult. 2013 also brought Niall supporting spots for Lilygreen and Maguire and Britain’s Got Talent Star Jordan O’Keefe in Belfast. The support shown for Niall at both gigs was incredible to see; with the Twitter followers and YouTube views flying up on both occasions. Jordan O’Keefe’s manager, Chris Hughes tweeted Niall “Actually a serious voice on ya pal! #impressed” Then after the show, Jordan tweeted Niall “pleasure having you tonight bro!”
