Fleetwood Mac Still Going Strong

The story of Fleetwood Mac begins in the United Kingdom in the year 1967.  It was then that three members of a band called Bluesbreaker decided to start their own band.  These members were Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, and John McVie.  They called themselves Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac.

Unfortunately the first album that was released only did well in the United Kingdom.  It did not even reach the United States.  This is when changes started to occur.  By 1975 the band added Stevie Nicks on lead vocals and Lindsey Buckingham on guitar.  From the time on this band started making history with releasing five albums.  It was then this band became known as Fleetwood Mac and the unique voice of Stevie Nicks became the band’s signature sound.  From here on out Fleetwood Mac became one of the more influential bands of the twentieth century.
