It’s Not Wrong To Indulge In The Things We Like

Psychologists must feel so cliche when they have to say this but, it’s now more important than ever. ‘Have a little YOU, time’. So many of us really don’t care about what we like and what makes us happy. We just go through life, focussing on the next thing and then the next thing. We never really stop to spoil ourselves and make ourselves happy before we make others feel the same. But, at this time of year, there’s no better excuse. There’s nothing wrong with self-indulgence. If of course, you keep it in moderation. It’s not to say that you should go absolutely bananas and start to waste your life savings on pampering yourself. There is a way to go about this, so sit up and take notes.

Homemade British sundae

If you like ice cream, you’re going to live the classic British sundae. Granted it’s not as complex as some of the American recipes, but it beats just about every one of them in richness. First, you need high-fat vanilla ice cream which you get from most stores in their luxury ice cream isles. Look for the words ‘British clotted ice cream’ or ‘heavy rich cream’ on the products. Then you need to make some real homemade whipped dairy cream. Make sure you buy the best whipping cream you can buy, finely powdered sugar and a little vanilla extract. Once you have that, you need 80% dark chocolate. Look for the finest you can buy. Make some candied strawberries along with some raspberry coulis. Scoop some of the ice cream into a bowl, cover it in cream and dark chocolate shavings. Drizzle over the coulis and drop in some strawberry pieces. Go ahead, spoil yourself with this Incredibly decadent British treat.

Your personal stallion

Automobile enthusiasts can climb out of the shadows now because cars are more popular than ever. We’re going through a transformation right now, from piston engines to battery power. So, everyone’s talking about cars and how much they mean to us individually. If you’re a bit of a petrol head or you simply love your noble stallion, buy yourself some Private Plates that make sure your car can be spotted easily, in any jumbo car park in the world. You can have your initials printed or perhaps a combination of letters and numbers that would spell out your name. The prices start at a very generous £25 so it’s not like you’re going to be busting the bank for this.

The finer things

About this time of year, overcoats start to sell like hotcakes. If you don’t have an overcoat or the one you have is showing signs of having better days, then you should buy yourself a brand new, high-quality luxury overcoat. Hugo Boss is known to make some of the best overcoats in the world and have been doing so for almost 100 years.

Nobody should be too selfish but during this time of year, you have every excuse in the world to enjoy the finer and richer things in life.
