As the Paralymic Opening Ceremony took the attention of much of the world President Barack Obama threw himself to the metaphorical wolves by doing an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit.com. With over 200,000 visitors accessing the site at any one time during the President’s time online, Obama broke all records previously set on Reddit crashing the site multiple times in the process.

For those of you who aren’t Redditers, the site that calls itself the Front Page of the Internet is essentially a collaborative news site where users post links to news, photos, memes and a whole host of other online content. The community welcomed the President with open arms. Novelty account Shitty_Watercolour even greeted the President in his own special way.

The President answered questions on student loans, small businesses and NASA in his hour or so online and finished the stint saying he had to get to dinner with his family. Finally, playing on the well known meme the President described his experience on Reddit as “NOT BAD!”
