To All Media Maniacs…

Calling all media lovers! Do you have a passion for reading, writing or advertising? Maybe you enjoy creating short films or taking beautiful photographs? Or do you prefer dabbling in radio, web design or have a special interest in music? Whatever your preference, “Exhibit This 2013” is the place to be for all things media next week!

The hard-working third year media students of Birmingham City University have breathed a sigh of relief after submitting their dissertations and final projects, but it isn’t over for them just yet! The ambitious mass have worked together to organise a fantastic exhibition, relevantly titled “Exhibit This 2013”, which acts as an end of year show to successfully showcase all of their hard graft and incredible talent.

The two-day event is being held at the Custard Factory in Digbeth on the 28th and the 29th of May from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. It will exhibit a vast array of inspirational team projects and individual portfolios applicable to many different specialities. These will include journalism, music industries, public relations, radio, television, photography and web and new media, so if you are interested in any of these areas then you should come along and meet some students specialising in these fields.

There will also be a celebrity appearance at the event! One lucky student will be commended with a special award from Brian Travers of UB40, as part of the Brian Travers Achievement Award scheme which has been running since 2010. This will see the student who has gained the best overall mark on the Media and Communication course at Birmingham City University get recognition for their hard work over their three years spent at the uni.

So, why not come along to this brilliant networking event? Liaise with aspiring media workers and professionals, discuss future ideas or possibly even job opportunities! Refreshments will also be provided, as well as an exciting evening of entertainment and inspiration.

To all you creative individuals, you should definitely not miss out on this incredible opportunity to liaise with like-minded people and immerse yourself in a fun-filled night of consumer culture and creativity. Come along, you know you want to!
