When the last ever episode of One Tree Hill aired in the UK, it is fair to say I was extremely emotional after nine seasons, it was hard to say goodbye to Tree Hill.
What I was intrigued by was the adverts that followed for Revenge. Obviously, Revenge does what it says on the tin. I was on holiday for the first two weeks of the show, so I caught up via E4 on demand. OMG! All I can say is I am well and truly hooked.
Some of the characters I love and some of them annoy me but each and every episode has had me on the edge of my seat begging for more. I really wish it was on more than once a week. Now I feel sad that I’ve caught up as I have to wait each week for a new dosage of Emily/Amanda’s Revenge.
Just to give you an overview Emily/Amanda’s Dad was set up and was subsequently sent to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. He died in jail leaving a diary for his daughter which documented all the people who had wronged him along the way.
Now Emily has followed that trail to the people who have ruined both her’s and her father’s lives. Emily is out for one thing and one thing only and that is Revenge. She aims to make these people pay- what starts with humiliation could end a lot more severe?
As a viewer you are always on the edge of your seat, there is always a twist and an unexpected turn but you just cannot help adoring Emily. She’s a likeable character, you just can’t help being on her side.
If like me you also like to see some eye candy Revenge does not disappoint. I’m a little smitten with Daniel and Jack, for anyone that’s seen Revenge knows that that’s a controversial pairing. Now I shall sit and wait impatiently for my next installment, I am never disappointed yet I am always surprised, an hour’s viewing goes way to quickly.
I cannot wait to see how the rest of the series pans out and I would love to see a second helping.
If I have intrigued you then make sure you check out Revenge every Monday on E4 at 9pm.
